Jesus King of the Jews
Matthew is the first of the four Gospels which account the life and ministry of Jesus. It is intended to present and reveal Jesus as Messiah and "King of the Jews". The book begins with the genealogy of Jesus through His adoptive father Joseph, demonstrating Jesus' right to reign on the throne of David. Matthew references several old testament messianic prophecies and details the fulfillment of these prophecies through Jesus; demonstrating the continuity and dependability of Gods word throughout the entire Bible.
